What new surprises lie in store?

Hi!

It's been a pretty crazy week this week and I am so glad it is over!
I decided a few weeks ago that this year I was going to give up chocolate for lent as I have definitely eaten FAR too much of it since Christmas!  As lent started on Wednesday I stuck to it and gave up the chocs...all I can say is what a week to decide to give it up!

I've also been pretty busy on the card making front which you will be glad to hear and I have quite a few to show you today.  So let's get started!

First up are a couple of special cards a friend asked me for - her daughter's 3rd birthday and a thank you card for the staff at the nursery.  Both use images from Lili of the Valley and 'Notting Hill' candi from Craftwork Cards.

Next is a card I made for my dad's 65th birthday. I used papers from the Dovecraft back to basics monochrome pack.  I had made this in time for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge 124 but I didn't get chance to post it in time to enter :-(

Since we're on the topic of dad's birthday I also want to quickly share pics of his amazing birthday cakes made by Just A Mish Mash

The following 5 cards are all mini cards I made to be as simple yet effective as possible.  I think they are adorably cute!

Moving on we have another Freshly Made Sketches challenge 112 sketch idea that I also didn't enter (only this time the cards were made well after the end of the challenge).  However, I did set myself my own little challenge, make as many cards as I could from only 6 sheets of the Dovecraft Monochrome 6"x6" papers (plus a tiny off cut of one more if anyone actually counts!) These are the ones I came up with...and I still have a little paper left over!

And finally, as I have given up chocolate for lent, what better cards to make than Easter cards!! Here are my first two Easter cards.  They both use papers from the Me to You Spring Chic paper pack, the first also uses a Me to You topper from the same range.

As I missed a couple of the challenges recently, I would like to enter my final card of the blog today into the Freshly Made Sketches Sketch 126 challenge.

So there we have it, fingers crossed for the challenge but overall I hope you liked all the cards I've shared with you today :-)

Take care and come back soon (that goes to me too!)
