Balloon Celebrations for a Beautiful Bank Holiday Weekend!

Hi Everyone,

Hasn't the weather been just stunning this past week?  I hope you are or have all had the chance to enjoy some of the wonderful sunshine!

I have a couple of cards to show you today which use the Balloon Celebration Stamp set and the Balloon Bouquet Punch.

If you're a follower of my blog, you might remember that these were a couple of my selected products I chose for my demonstrator starter kit.  Well, now I can finally show you my first cards created with this set.

First up is a small 4 inch square card created for a friend's lovely young man's third birthday.

For this card, I stamped and punched out three balloons in different colours - in this case we have Sweet Sugarplum, Dapper Denim, and Emerald Envy from the 2016-2018 In Color collection.  The balloon strings and bow were stamped straight onto the cardstock, I love the string which spells out "let us celebrate"!  Once these were in place I could then fix the balloons to the ends of the strings using Stampin' Dimensionals to give them a bit of definition.  I stamped the "Happy Birthday" greeting in Emerald Envy and I also added the "(and eat cake)" at the bottom of the card - I had been reliably informed that there would be a wonderful chocolate cake at the party, I can assure you, it did not disappoint!

Moving on, we have a very different image created using a couple of the non balloon stamps in this kit.  When you put them together you can create this gorgeous dandelion with seeds blowing in the wind!

I CASE'd this design from a fellow Stampin' Up! independent demonstrator, Amie Nash, whose video I found on You Tube.  I had no idea when I received this stamp set what these stamps could be used for so in my research I found her video where she used them to make a lovely mothers day card.

For my card, I used Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock for the surround.  The image was stamped onto a white piece of card and stuck to the mount, which was then in turn stuck to the card blank - you can use your favourite or any of the Stampin' Up! adhesives for this.

To get the faded seeds I just inked up my stamp with Sweet Sugarplum, then stamped first onto a piece of scrap paper then again onto my card - this gives a shadow or paler image.  I added some to the card blank at the top to make them look like they were being blown away, I also added some to the insert on the inside of the card, and to the envelope...I may have got a little stamp happy!

The "Happy Belated Birthday" and the "Make A Wish" sentiments used on this card are all from the Sweet Cupcake Stamp set.  This stamp set has it's own set of Cupcake Cutouts Framelits Dies which you can use with the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine.  If you want to buy both the stamp set and the framelits together - why not buy them as a bundle before it retires on 31st May and save yourself 10%.

Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight - coming soon to a catalogue (and home?) near you!

Helloooooo

I have a GORGEOUS sneak peek for you today, and for the first time in my blog history (I think)... it's NOT a card!

The new Stampin' Up! annual catalogue is being launched on 1st June and as an independent demonstrator we have the amazing opportunity to share with you some of the fantastic new products that will be available.  As soon as I saw this set I knew I HAD to have it, and of course when it arrived it quickly jumped up the blogging order (hence this post being slightly later than intended - this and the fact that I'm updating my craft space, more on on that later!)

So with no further ado...here is the fabulous Daisy Delight photo-polymer stamp set, co-ordinating Daisy Punch, Clear Faceted Gems, and Daffodil Yellow Double Stitched Ribbon:

To create these delightful daisies, stamp the large daisy image twice onto white card using the Daffodil Delight classic ink pad, or any colour of your choice, cut them both out using the Daisy Punch.  Laying one on top of the other, so that the petals interlock, secure with a Glue Dot and then finish off with one of the new Clear Faceted Gems to the centre.  For the stems I used floral wire wrapped in floral moss tape.  So that I could attach the flower to the stem, before wrapping, at one end of the wire I bent it round into a circle, when I wrapped the floral moss tape over the circle it made a "pad", I then just used a glue dot on the back of the flower to this "pad", simple!

Finally, I used the current (and continuing) 2016-2018 In Color collection to create some Gerbera daisies - my favourite flowers!  So, top left is Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock and Ink, in the middle we have Peek-a-boo Peach Cardstock and Ink, top right is Dapper Denim Cardstock and Ink, bottom right is Flirty Flamingo Cardstock and Ink, last but by no means least is Emerald Envy Cardstock and Ink.  I also realised at this point that on my earlier flowers, I'd completely missed the stamp for the centre of the flower, which you can see I have included on these ones!

This set will be available as individual items, but the best bit is it will also be available as a bundle which means you get the Daisy Delight stamp set and the Daisy Punch AND save yourself 10% in the process!

Would you like to be one of the first to get your hands on the brand new catalogue and all the wonderful new products? if the answer is yes, and why wouldn't it be?!, please do get in touch!  In fact...if you'd like any further information on any of the products used, hosting a workshop, joining Stampin' Up, send me an email at jenniferantill@hotmail.com, or contact me via my website here.

Thanks for stopping by, till next time!

Good Luck with Stampin' Up! 2016-2018 In Color Emerald Envy!

Hello everyone

I'm back with a quick update for you today.

A colleague recently left our office for a new job working at a dog kennels.  As a fellow crafter, I wanted to make her a Good Luck card, and I just HAD to break out my new goodies and add some gorgeous Stampin' Up! quality and co-ordination in the process!  This is my finished card:

As green is seen as a lucky colour, what better products to use than the 2016-2018 In Color Emerald Envy Cardstock, Ink, and (retiring on 31st May) 2016-2018 In Color enamel shapes!  I absolutely adore this colour and love how it ties all the elements of the card together.

In my mind, I wanted the cardstock and images to look like dog tags (in a fashion).  By using Stampin' Up! Glue Dots in the corner of each piece it allowed a little room for movement so I could fan them out to how I wanted them.  Then I could stick them down to my card front with some tape adhesive.  The "Good Luck" tag was cut out using the Big Shot Die Framelits Tags & Labels I raised it up using a Stampin' Dimensional and finished with one of the small circle 2016-2018 In Color enamel shapes!

You'll have to forgive me for the non Stampin' Up! images on this card, I am in the process of building up my Stampin' Up! stock!  In this case I used a, now retired, dog stamp from LOTV.  You could of course replace this with one of the beautiful Bella & Friends images (below)

Stampin' Up independent demonstrator at your service - starter kit unboxing

Hi everyone,

I'm back from my holiday, I miss the sun already but today is the day I can FINALLY share my exciting news with you...and it arrived in this massive box:

Just before I went away, I decided to take the plunge into the Stampin' Up world and signed up to become an independent demonstrator!
"What does this mean" I hear you say?
Well, as a Stampin' Up independent demonstrator, I get to love what I do and share what I love!  It means I get to continue to create cards and projects, now using the fabulous Stampin' Up products and share them all with you! If my creations provide inspiration or you like what you see and want to have a go at it yourself, then you will be able to contact me for a current catalogue or purchase the supplies from my ONLINE SHOP at Jenfielou.stampinup.net

As a new demonstrator you receive a pack of current catalogues and seasonal catalogues, order forms, and invitations, and a wide range of business support resources. However, YOU get to choose what exciting Stampin' Up products make up the rest of your kit.

Let me run through all the goodies I chose for my starter kit.

First up is the In Color 2016-2018 ink pad collection and matching A4 cardstock.  As these products all coordinate so well together and will continue to be available in the upcoming new catalogue (out 1st June 2017) I thought having as up to date colours as I could would be a good place to start.  Just look how good they look together!!

To go with my ink, and cardstock, what every Stampin' Up demonstrator needs...some stamps! I chose the Balloon Celebration photopolymer set, and coordinating Balloon Bouquet punch

I also chose the Cookie Cutter Christmas photopolymer set, again with coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  (It's never too early for Christmas goodies!)

And finally the Brushwork Alphabet photopolymer set, as I'm always on the look out for gorgeous Alphabet lettering to personalise cards (new baby cards in particular) with!

So that's my kit, once I've had a play with it all, I'll share my thoughts and findings and hopefully a tutorial on how to use the two step Stampin technique which you can see in the Balloon Celebration image below, this is new to me so I am really excited to give it a go!

All of these products are available in the current catalogue and online, check out my website at Jenfielou.stampinup.net where you can find ideas, my shop, current catalogues, and a list of retiring products - the new catalogue is coming soon so get your favourite retiring sets before 31 May!  Please get in touch if you have any questions or want to know if your favourites are still available!

In the future, I also hope to be able to hold mini workshop/crafting parties, but details such as where and how are yet to be worked out.  However, if it is something you might be interested in and you're in the Chesterfield, Derbyshire area, please do get in touch - you can leave me a comment on my blog or click on the weblink above and there is a contact me form on my site!

Looking forward to sharing the Stampin' Up fun!
