February Fun

Well, February may be the shortest month of the year but it is full of celebrations!

Here are a few of the cards I've made since I last blogged.  I won't share them all just yet since there are 2 weeks of February left, and another 3 birthdays to go (provided I haven't forgotten any)!

First up, a "congratulations - a new job" card made for a friend, this card uses the Time Flies collection from Craftwork Cards and the New Job circle stamp from Lili of the Valley

Next we have a card that I was asked to make for a friend's step mum's 60th Birthday.  I was told she liked the Me to You tatty teddy, so I found this gorgeous little topper (from a local craft store) and combined it with lettering using the Printers Block stamps (also from Craftwork Cards) inked with Stampin' Up! Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin' pad.

I love making personalised baby cards, and this one was no exception, even if it was made in a little bit of a rush before driving 200 miles down south for a weekend away with a friend! Thankfully, the rush did not affect the quality and I received a lovely message from the new mum which read "Thank you for the card, it is gorgeous! I am going to find a frame and put it up in his bedroom" I feel so privileged to be able to provide a memento for such a special occasion that can be kept and treasured for years to come.  This one is made again using the stamps from Lili of the Valley and papers from Dovecraft Back to Basics range.

Moving on to my February birthdays, first we have a simple but gorgeous DL card for my best friend, again using the Time Flies collection. I love this collection, I just hope others love the cards I make using it! :-)

Finally for today, an adorable card made for my mum, featuring Craftwork Card's Warren Rabbit and I also got to play a little with the Liquid Pearls to make a speech bubble message :-)

Hope you enjoyed your visit, please come back again soon and hopefully there will be more cards for you to view :-)

For the Family

Happy Sunday Everyone, hope you have had a lovely weekend!

As promised, I'm back to share some more of my recent card makes and this time there are some for all the family!

For the girls:

Starting with a birthday card made for a friend who loves sparkle and her little dog - so a perfect combination created using the Dolly Mixtures Coleen range from Craftwork Cards with some Stickles glitter glue to add that little bit of sparkle :-)

Continuing with the Dolly Mixtures range, the next card uses the Cheryl postcard and the Coleen papers.

To mix it up a bit I used the Amy postcard and Cheryl papers which also work fabulously together

and finally I used the Coleen postcard, Cheryl papers and added a sentiment stamp from Lili of the Valley to create a rosette message.

For the Boys:

I've always struggled a little to make cards for boys/men, but thanks to the Time Flies collection, again from Craftwork Cards, I now have a couple to kick off the range:

And last but by no means least - For the kids (and the big kids too just because they are cute)

All of these cards feature images from the Lili of the Valley Mini Masterpieces range which are just gorgeous, along with mini messages and Notting Hill candi from Craftwork Cards.

So, that brings you completely up to date with all the cards I have! Thanks for stopping by, I hope to be back with a few more soon as my stock is rather low so I'd better get crafting :-)

Time Flies when you are having fun!

HELLO!!! I am back after a longer than planned break from the blog - my exams are done and I found out last week that I passed the first one, I should find out about the final one next week so am keeping everything crossed!  I've also been away on holiday in Turkey and only got back in the early hours this morning, glad I seem to have brought the sun back with me, I think I will be spending the afternoon in the garden pretending I am still on holiday! :-)

Anyway enough about me and my goings on, the reason I am here is to share some more of my recent card makes with you - please let me know what you think!

Using step cards and printers block lettering from Craftwork Cards and for you circular sentiment and all our dreams stamps from Lili of the Valley I created a couple more personalised new baby cards.

Next up is a 4x4 card which uses backing paper from Dovecraft's Princess Fairytale collection, and I have stamped the warren design onto a circular die cut - I was going to colour it in but I actually really liked it as it was so that is how it stayed!

Time certainly flies when you are having fun, speaking of which I have created a number of new cards using the TimeFlies collection from Craftwork Cards  The first of which was made for my sister for her graduation and I love it!

This next card again uses the TimeFlies collection and I have added a few strips of washi tape a friend bought me for my birthday as I thought the colours matched pretty well for this collection.  The card design was inspired by a sketch I saw on Seize the Sketch blog way back at the beginning of August!  Unfortunately I made this card a little too late to enter the contest but I had fun making it and that is all that matters! :-)

The above card was for my parents wedding anniversary, and used the happy circular sentiment stamp from Lili of the Valley which works perfectly as it has little butterflies on it.  I cut the purple circle out of an off cut of card and used the left over section to make the below simple 4x4 birthday card.  Always good to use up every last bit of card!

Finally, I made the below card for my friend at work just before my holiday as she had already seen all the other cards I had already made up and so I wanted to make a new special one for her.  Thankfully it arrived on time for her birthday!

So, That's all for now, I plan on enjoying a bit more sun and then I will be starting to get on with making some Christmas cards as well as whatever else takes my fancy or my creativity allows!

Until then, take care :-)

Baby Boom!

Hello again!

I may be a little late to the party (no change there) but in celebration of the recent birth of Prince George Alexander Louis, what better way to celebrate than to have a baby blog post! (Now that would be a long name to fit on a personalised card!)

Here for you, a selection of baby cards I have made over the last few years, I hope you like them -

Embellishments and papers are from a variety of suppliers including Craftwork CardsLili of the Valley and Meiflower as well as a few embossing folders for the Cuttlebug :-)

So, as it is now August, I have a lot of revision to do as I have 2 final exams to take (and hopefully pass) and then I can move on to more exciting things....like starting on the Christmas cards! So I may be a little quiet for a few weeks but I hope you can join me at the end of the month for some festive cheer ;-)

Summer Distractions!

Hello to you all!

Thanks for stopping by.  It's been a while since my last post, time is going so quickly I just can't believe it is the middle of July already! I have noticed a few other blogs have started on the Christmas card posts already, but as July is the month of my birthday (today!) then I refuse to start thinking about Christmas just yet...maybe next month!

So, back to SUMMER! I hope you have all been enjoying the British "Heatwave" Sun, I certainly have been, it's making the fact that I haven't got another holiday booked yet not feel quite so bad! It has, however, been a little bit of a distraction from everything I should have been doing, you know like studying and crafting! The gorgeous weather, Murray winning Wimbledon, making the most of my last month's gym membership by doing as many new fitness classes as I can and an 11 hour day a week at college have meant I haven't made many but I do have a few new cards to show you today :-)

Kicking off with a simple congratulations card using the new Time Flies collection from Craftwork Cards. I think the papers in this kit are just gorgeous, I have a soft spot for butterflies so I can't wait to play some more with this collection!

Next up are a some more cards made using the Black Magic Goodybox from Craftwork Cards

The first one uses a Happy Circular Sentiment stamp from Lili of the Valley which I just had to add as I had to try out using my new circular framelits for my cuttlebug....little things!

Finally, a card that I started a while back when I bought this gorgeous Cinderella stamp.  I'd coloured the image in using my Rose Pink Promarker and just added some spots of sparkle using diamond Stickles glitter glue, then finished off with another Lili of the Valley circle sentiment.

That's all there is for today, and as it is my birthday, I will now go celebrate! I have a few more cards to share with you but will hold them until next time, which I won't leave quite as long to post!

Enjoy the rest of the lovely weather, it's nice to have a proper summer again at last!
